A Brief Word Of Thanks
Just a quick post to say THANK YOU to our member churches for a good Fall Meeting! The facilities at Peachtree were beautiful; the hospitality of the church was great; the food was out of this world; the fellowship was sweet; the spirit of continued cooperation was evident in the business sessions, and the worship experience was awesome. I told someone that I had never been in such a "spiritual business meeting" before. Usually, our Spring Meeting with the special music and annual sermon is our time of celebration and worship, so I am really looking forward to that meeting at White Level if it will be more worshipful!
I am so grateful that the policy and procedures are "behind" us. Over the past 2 years we have worked tirelessly to address the changes that were in our ByLaws. We did not think we would have them done in time for the October meeting, but I am so grateful the Personnel Committee was able to deal with all of them and that you approved them as an Association. Now, we can get busy with the full implementation and I think the life and work of your Association will benefit as a result.
The stage was also set at the Fall Meeting for some changes to come in our CFM Ministry in the future. I am grateful to Chris Carroll and Steven Wade for bringing the proposal forward. I am also grateful to the exisiting CFM Ministry Team in their willingness to embrace the concept. Over the next year, you can expect to hear more and more about some of these changes that will expand our ministry and perhaps include more churches in this effort to effectively minister to the needs of hurting people in our communities.
Again, THANK YOU for an excellent meeting. Know that you are in my prayers. I am here for you if there is ever a need!
